The Design

Inspiration

Richard Burton, a controversial character donning a turban, historically translated the Arabian Nights into English. The decor in the Burton suite gives one a slight feel of the East with the deep red colours of the bedspreads, the elephant lamps, and Persian carpets. The hand-carved bed and baskets are all reminiscent of Richard Burton's link with the east and his eccentric character. It has its own private plunge pool with a wooden deck overlooking the wilderness.
