The days are long and beautiful down here on the ocean; with the afternoon sun hanging on the horizon as guests enjoy their sundowners on the shiny new deck.
We are busy all through the festive season and have had amazing support from regular and new guests after reopening.
Some fantastic news: we received the final jewel in the crown of the rebuild -- our wonderful silver table. This beautiful table was one of the few items saved in the very first fire. So, when we lost the table in the second fire; it was a major symbolic knock to us. But this week, we received a new table from India; and it’s now proudly welcoming guests as it always did before.
We have hosted a few small weddings at the lodge, and the latest wedding this week was set at the pool area over looking the sea. The huge circular altar piece framed the setting sun as the couple made their vows to the sounds of crashing waves below.
Everything is lovely and new in the main lodge; and we can’t wait to welcome all the regulars and new guests as they experience Atlantic’s fresh colours and decor in the full light of summer.
